IN THE COMPOSER’S OWN WORDS

“In the summer of 2017, Milica Paranosic the Paracademia, asked me to create a concert for her series at Gallery MC in NYC. She was specifically looking for a new piece for my Wonder Suit, and NASA’s spacecraft, Juno, had just reached Jupiter, an amazing feat. I then thought of Kubrick’s famous film of a similar name to my work, and began to imagine what it would feel like to rocket out into space, to break the sound barrier and to then float in a gravity-free universe. The result is this work.”

–Eleonor Sandresky, 2020
