Parthenia Viol Consort and guests discuss the conception, composition, and performance of Eleonor’s Donne Songs Without Words, commissioned in 2013 by Parthenia with a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.

They will explore Donne’s poetry, the guiding aesthetic for this work, and talk about learning to use body movements while playing their instruments. The webinar will feature excerpts from the 2015 world premiere video recording.
